Connected social accounts
What Ratifyly reads when you connect Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn, what it never does, and how to disconnect or delete that data. This page supplements our Privacy Policy.
What connecting shares with Ratifyly
Connecting an account is your choice, made through the platform's own sign-in screen, and it shares a narrow slice of your own presence:
- Who the account is. Its name, username, and platform identifier, so your connection can be shown to you and honored later.
- Your own recent posts. The text of captions and updates you published yourself, and your profile bio. We keep a small rolling window, not an archive, and we never fetch photos or videos for this purpose.
- Access tokens. Stored encrypted, used only to read the items above and, where you have enabled posting, to publish a post you reviewed and approved yourself, whether you wrote it or our assistant drafted it for you.
How that data is used
Your posts teach our assistant how you sound: your tone, your phrasing, the markets you talk about. That distilled writing-style profile is shown to you verbatim in Settings, is used only in your own conversations and drafts, and can be deleted by you at any time. If you also let our assistant learn how you write from mail you sent from a connected Gmail inbox, the same profile carries a second part written from that mail, as our Privacy Policy describes. Posting, where enabled, happens only when you review a specific post and choose to publish it. Our assistant may prepare a draft for you, for example when a listing you sold is marked closed in your MLS, and that draft waits for your approval. Nothing is ever published automatically, and we never read anyone else's content, messages, comments, or followers.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect any account in Settings inside Ratifyly. Disconnecting revokes our stored tokens and deletes the stored snapshots of your posts, and when your last account is disconnected, the derived writing-style profile is deleted too. You can also remove Ratifyly from your platform's own app settings; when Meta tells us you did, we mark the connection revoked immediately.
Deleting your data
There are three ways to have this data deleted, and each takes effect immediately:
- In Ratifyly: disconnect the account in Settings, and use the delete control on the writing-style card.
- Through the platform: request deletion from Meta (for example, Facebook's "Delete your information" flow for apps). Meta sends us a signed deletion request, and we delete everything tied to your account at that moment and answer with a confirmation code you can check on this page.
- By asking us: email privacy@ratifyly.com from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.
Deletion covers the connection and its tokens, the stored post snapshots, generated post receipts, and the derived writing-style profile. Records that the law requires us to keep, such as audit entries noting that a deletion happened, do not contain your post content.
